How much do I have to pay upfront?

After you have entered your dates you will be presented with a number of parking options, each will state the amount to be paid. For most of the parking options at Johnnesburg and Cape Town, you pay a deposit to reserve your place. Depending on the option you choose, the car park operator will either contact you before the date of departure for payment of the remainder or you will pay the balance at the carpark or to the driver at the airport terminal.

Is paying online safe?

Yes, Airport Parking Site SA uses the same 128-bit SSL encryption technology used by banks and all major online merchants. Verisign Secured, owned by Symantec Ltd, is the encyrption company which is used by Parking.aero Ltd trading as Airport Parking Site SA. They are the market leaders in encryption and secure online payments. Parking.aero Ltd meet all their stringent requirements to be allowed to use this encryption.

How do I pay?

You can pay online using a number of different methods. These include:

Why do I have to log into a different website when paying with some of the payment options?

Airport Parking Site SA understand that not everyone has access to the same payment facilities. Therefore we have put on as many different options as we can. THere is no one merchant provider that allows us to offer all these options, so we use a number of them. Although our site is extremely secure the policy for some of these providers is to do all payments on their site and they insist that you login and pay that way. If you do not have an account with them, they will ask you to set one up. Options that include this will be Google Checkout, International Maestro, Alertpay, JCB and Diners Club credit card.

Can I still book if I do not have a printer or if it is broken?

Yes. Once you book your airport parking, you will be sent an email and text message (SMS) providing you with a unique reference number. The car park provider will also have this information, with all the booking details. They will know you are coming. All you need to do is have the reference number.

Do you take bookings for the Official Long Stay car parks?

No, we offer cheaper, convenient alternatives to the official car parks.

Do I have to book through the website?

It is the easiest way to place a booking. As all options in OR Tambo and Cape Town airports are 'Meet and Greet' services, you will need to book in advance. Our site compares the prices of different operators on the same page, thus giving you the best choice.

Can I make a reservation by phone?

Yes, Airport Parking Site South Africa would be very happy to help you with your booking. Please have the name of your destination, dates and times of your travel and your credit card details ready. Please note that if you are paying by anything other than Visa or Mastercard, then we will not take the booking over the phone. This involves logging into another website as explained in the online payments section on this page.

What if I need to cancel?

If you need to cancel , please let us know as soon as possible. With Meet and Greet and options a driver has to go to the airport to meet you, so if you don't let us know in time you may incur extra charges. If you cancel with more than 48 hours you will only incur a 60 rand administration fee. Please note that if you have paid the car park for the balance any refund for this payment will be through them directly.

Meet and Greet (Valet Parking) or Park and Ride

What's Meet & Greet or Valet Parking?

Meet and Greet, also known as Valet Parking, is a premium airport parking service where you are met upon arrival at departures by a chauffeur who will take your vehicle either to a secure car park or back to your home address for the duration of your trip. Upon your return, the chauffeur will be waiting with your vehicle at arrivals for you to drive away from the airport with the minimum of fuss.

What's Park & Ride?

Airport PArking Site SA do not have any park and ride options currently. Typically, Park and Ride car parks are located within a few minutes of airports and are much cheaper than on-airport long term parking. Included in the price is shuttle bus transfer from the car park to the airport on departure and from the airport to the car park on arrival.

How do I get to and from the airport?

With Park and Ride packages, transfers to and from the airport are included in the price of your parking. The car parks usually run one or more shuttle buses on a scheduled timetable.

With Meet and Greet, there is no need for a transfer as you are met at the airport terminal building by the car parks driver. He/She will take your car to the secure compound while you check in. On your return, the driver will either meet you with the car or leave it in the short term carpark at the time you are arriving back. This will depend on the operator you choose, but the procedure for each parking option will be clearly explained in the notification you received afer booking and on the day you go to the airport, the driver will clarify everything once again.
